Profile
Short introduction: Lennart Cromberge (1981)
My passion for genealogical research began in 1990 and developed into professional expertise. With work experience at the CBG | Centre for Family History, training at the Archiefschool, courses in Paleography, and over ten years of work in documentary information management, I combine professional knowledge with a deep interest in family history. Since 2011, alongside a full-time job, I have successfully completed numerous genealogical research projects. My work ranges from solving short, specific inquiries and stalled investigations to compiling the most extensive and detailed family trees. I would be happy to help you explore your family tree. For questions, I can be reached by phone after 7:30 PM.

Mission and vision
My goal is to make genealogical research accessible and transparent, with a clear offering and straightforward pricing. I provide customers with a carefully compiled product within a reasonable timeframe, combining factual information with intriguing family stories. Due to the scope of a family tree, the level of detail per ancestor may vary; some will be covered more extensively than others. It is impossible to uncover a unique story for every ancestor within the standard research scope. Upon request and at an hourly rate, the research can be expanded. This way, I offer customers insight into their family history without financial surprises.
Passion for accurate and reliable research
I am customer-focused, detail-oriented, and driven to make every project a success. Family tree research is fascinating but often complex and time-consuming. That’s why I deliver a carefully researched and reliable final result, based on official sources and supported by input from my clients. Unfortunately, the importance of source citation is often underestimated, which can lead to inaccurate information. When you commission genealogical research, you will always receive a digital file in which each discovered document is described with a concise filename (including location, source, date, person’s name, etc.). My motto is: “Genealogical research must be accurate down to the finest details. Always go back to the source.”
Your family history, brought to life together
The excitement begins for me as soon as a client provides genealogical data and family photos with captions. As the family tree research progresses, the book starts taking shape in my mind. The client then has the opportunity to fully review the digital version, ensuring that the final product is something we have truly created together. Haven’t checked out the examples on the homepage yet? Feel free to take a look for some impressions of how a family history book is illustrated.

Genealogical research area – from The Netherlands to far beyond
The genealogical research primarily focuses on the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the former overseas colonies of the Dutch East Indies and Suriname, and emigration countries such as the United States, Canada, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand. Research in other countries is, of course, open for discussion and will gladly be considered. Due to my personal background, I am also well acquainted with genealogical research in Belgium and Northern France (formerly French Flanders). |
